I am really blessed by the atmosphere here at UCA. Everyone is just very welcoming and accepting. There’s always someone holding the door for someone and there is always someone that is willing to pray for you if you are having a bad day. Earlier this week, there were two girls in the hallway studying for a test when another student came and asked if she could pray for them. I don’t think there is an academy as loving as this one. God is really working on the hearts of the students here at UCA.

Being at UCA has blessed me so much by giving me a safe and nurturing environment to grow in my relationship with Christ. I have also loved getting the opportunity to return that blessing by getting involved in the worship services to help others grow in their spiritual lives and keep our campus’ God-centered atmosphere.

I am so blessed and happy for all the people that are helping and supporting me to be here at UCA. It is not easy for me to be away from home, but having God here by my side along with the amazing teachers and students makes it much easier. Coming to UCA this year has been a huge step for me, but I will be blessed and closer to God because of it.

Hey ya’ll (as we say in Canada). I’m Sheyanne Dubyna and I am from Canada. Being able to come to UCA this year has blessed me in more ways than I can count. The friendly and spiritually encouraging atmosphere have been a real blessing for me. Everyone has welcomed me with open arms!

I am happy to be at UCA primarily because of the way students interact with each other and with God. It has created a loving community in a way that I have never experienced before. UCA has a type of community that is overflowing with joy and love for God and each other. Never before have I felt as accepted and appreciated as I do here.

Coming to UCA completely changed my life. The positive atmosphere, and loving school family has helped me grow in so many ways. I love to play soccer and there is always a chance to play here. Whether it is the varsity team, intramurals, or just a pick-up game, I can get at least one good game a week. Coach Gettys has done a wonderful job with the athletic program making sure there is always another athletic event to enjoy. Coming to UCA was the best choice I have ever made. I wouldn’t trade my experiences here for anything.

Mrs. Renchler, UCA’s former Bible teacher, would be shocked to learn that I became a minister. Possibilities for good and for bad reside in all of us. This is why I strongly believe in Christian education — it can take (if we allow it) those possibilities that few can see and build on them allowing God to fashion us into the design He sees best. It is a real tribute to the role of the Christian teacher who sees beyond the surface. In many ways the global ministry I do now is an extension of those who taught and nurtured me — even when I may not have showed much promise at the time.

Classes in practical life skills, emphasis on academic excellence, discipling to follow Jesus, training in health, wellness and physical improvement and musical opportunities are some of the things that make UCA such a great school.

We sent our son here so that he could change, and he would have one more opportunity to choose a relationship with Jesus.  Guess what!  It happened! During Student Week of Prayer he called us to tell us he had a total conversion and wants to serve Jesus! It makes all our sacrifices worth it!

The deans are so loving and yet firm. I feel like it really helps me be a good parent to have my daughter here.

My son has always wanted to go to UCA, and it finally worked out this year.  But we were really scared!  He loves it and we are really happy!
