Dear UCA Family,
Another week has come and gone, and Thanksgiving break will be here before we know it. Students are free to leave campus for Thanksgiving break on Sunday, November 18, at 12:30 p.m.
Monday Prayer Time
This Monday, we will be praying in the Ad Building Lobby for Rhonda Dungan, Nancy Engle, and the parents of our students. If you are on campus, we’d love to have you join us! And if you aren’t, please pray for us wherever you are.
Music tour has been rescheduled. Watch for more details and dates later this school year.
School Picture Retakes
School picture retakes will be November 15, 2018. If you missed the first picture day, please plan ahead to have your picture taken on November 15. Pictures will happen in the Industrial Arts building.
Amateur Hour Dress Rehearsal
Amateur Hour Dress Rehearsal will be Thursday, November 15, at 6:15p.m. in the gym.
Tables for Amateur Hour
Amateur Hour is on Saturday evening, November 17. There are still tables available if you would like to purchase them. These tables are in the front of the gym, and include snacks, dessert, and drinks. Be up front and part of the action! Contact Stephanie Gladding at email@example.com or call (509) 245-3636 to reserve your table.
November 16-18 is Family Weekend! Friday night, at 7:00 p.m., there will be Vespers in the UCA Church. Sabbath School will be at 10:00 a.m. and Church at 11:00 a.m., both in the UCA gym. There will be a parent meeting in the Cafeteria from 4:30 – 5:15 p.m., followed by a short informational meeting for parents of seniors. The Walla Walla University Financial Aid seminar will meet from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in the Assembly Hall for seniors and their parents. Veggie burgers, hot dogs, and snacks will be sold in the gym for dinner beginning at 6:00 p.m., and Amateur Hour will begin at 7:30 p.m., also in the UCA gym. All of the events that occur in the gym will be live streamed for you watch at www.ucaa.org/live.
This year, we are doing something new for our ASB Christmas Tree Lighting. We’d like to showcase, and of course, eat, your family’s favorite Christmas cookie. You can send a picture of your recipe to firstname.lastname@example.org or send a hard copy to the Principal’s Office. Your cookie recipe will be entered into a drawing to be baked by our café for the tree lighting event, as well as a drawing for a Harvester Milkshake. We hope to see your recipes soon!
